While I recover from a minor medical procedure (ah, the joys of reaching your mid-40s!), here are a few things that are keeping me entertained and distracted.
AI Can't Stop, Won't Stop
- AI in UX can mean many things, but apparently scraping the surface is harder than it seems.
- Defeating facial recognition with Ugly Sweaters
- Speaking of adversarial attacks, it's surprisingly easy to trick self-driving cars into thinking they're seeing things.
- Are people more likely to cut off a Tesla? Maybe it's because they know the Teslas will let them. Take note: self-driving cars are not dealing with a static environment, but rather one filled with humans who will adjust their expectations (and behaviors) based on what they see autonomous vehicles doing.
Who Do You Trust?
- Apparently, you can't trust a "network of knockoff retail sites" to safeguard your data.
- You have a right to the end-to-end transmission of who you want to talk to, and hear from, regardless of what any platform might have to say about that.
- Eggfation is real, but not for the reasons you think.
